Company Profile:
Two Generations is a social enterprise that reduces loneliness and fuel poverty, support carers, and provides affordable accommodation through homeshares. We also help vet and match hosts for refugees.
We are now launching an exciting new Local Champion ('Ambassador') scheme to help spread the word on the ground in the communities we have homeshares. There are multiple vacancies for this role, one in each town, city and county of England). We are particularly keen to hear from applicants located in areas where we have a strong local base or big ambitions to grow (e.g. South Coast, North West, West Midlands, Home Counties, and London). We are asking each Champion contribute about one or two days per month of their time for this role. It will involve a mixture of talking to people online, and meeting people local to where you live. We also propose that all Ambassadors regularly come together as a group so share stories to help us learn and track our social impact.
About our culture:
We are a small, close-knit, high performing start-up and social enterprise. That means we give our volunteers guidance and training, and then empower them to go and do amazing things to help people.
How flexible working works with us:
All our staff currently use flexible working arrangements. We have parents of young children working around school / nursery; we have professionals with multiple jobs juggling tasks and their diaries. We have individuals choosing to work early mornings or late evenings; we have other semi-retired workers doing work on a paced timeline.
How we support parents:
We actually empower it. All our staff are expected to manage their own diaries, but if the job doesn't require a person to be in person at a specific location and time, it's up to them to find a timetable to get the work done. As a result, all of our staff are part-time or flexi-time.
