They are also some of the countrys most compassionate and dedicated people who step forward to help make society better connected and more inclusive where everyone can thrive. &nbsp;Were currently looking for a Service Co-ordinator to join our team on a part-time basis, working up to 32 hours per week. &nbsp; We are happy to discuss hours with the successful candidate. &nbsp;Place of work can be hybrid and flexible, we will happily discuss this with the successful candidateThe RoleAs a Service Co-ordinator, you will co-ordinate the Lunch Clubs and Social Clubs on Shetland. &nbsp; These clubs are already set up so you will be supporting the volunteers who are running them, identifying and booking activities for them working with the clubs to determine what is needed. &nbsp;Our Services aim to reduce the overall impact of isolation and loneliness especially after the pandemic. &nbsp; Delivered by a volunteer team, the service provides support meet and make new friends, enjoy a meal and a chat, but also to get people up and moving and to get their brain working. &nbsp; Most of all you need to be able to deliver Fun!Key activities will be:- Increasing the numbers of attendees to the lunch and social clubs- Increasing the numbers of volunteers to assist with running them- Identifying new locations to provide services in other parts of Shetland- Working with the Service Manager to identify people who may need support at home for shopping, prescription pick up, transport or companionship- Building trusting relationships within the communities we serveSupporting the Service Manager, you will also assist with recruitment, training and support of volunteers, receiving and actioning referrals, whilst ensuring the service is delivered effectively and efficiently. &nbsp;On a day-today basis, you will co-ordinate volunteers, assisting the Service Manager to ensure growth and uptake of the service and build strong partnerships with the local NHS Trust. &nbsp;About YouTo be considered as a Service Co-ordinator, you will need:- Knowledge and understanding of the local communities and the people in them- The ability to talk to people of all ages and to persuade them to join in and try something new- Strong organisational skills- A desire to learn and be part of our team- The ability to act on your own initiative- Proficiency in ITWhy you should join our teamWere proud to be in the top 25 not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK, based on ratings from Indeed. &nbsp;
