Our client, a market leading investment trust company, is looking for an experienced and strategic marketing professional to lead their marketing efforts on a part-time basis. The role is broad and has a high degree of autonomy.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for all marketing and investor relations strategy and execution, with a particular focus on marketing to self-directed investors. As a small team, the company works with several third-party agencies so the Director of Marketing will need to be able to lead and manage these
The role is expected to be a 60% role and could be structured as needed (for example as 3 days p/w or across school hours).
Specific responsibilities include:
Set and oversee marketing and investor relations strategy and budget.
Advise and report to the Board of Directors on the target market and marketing objectives and strategy and any relevant industry research, including reporting quarterly to the Board of Directors with progress and results of marketing and investor relations activity.
Evaluate and measure the success of campaigns.
Determine focus audience for advertising and work with media buyer to create a media plan across TV, digital and print publications. Commission bespoke research if necessary.
Oversee all advert creation, including campaign messaging.
Determine PR strategy and target audience, draft press releases for full and half year results and liaise with PR agencies as necessary.
Set content strategy. Originate ideas for content creation across newsletters, website and videos. Review all marketing assets before publication.
Overall responsibility for website and website agency.
Investor relations - Complete DDQ’s, coordinate data supply with investment and operations team where necessary, respond to investor queries where necessary, complete shareholder analysis reports for the Board.
Assist Company Secretary with AGM planning and logistics.
Manage project to inform online platform shareholders of AGM and how to vote.
Work with Investment Director and Marketing Manager to create presentations.
Coordinate investor relations strategy. Manage third party agency in setting up roadshow meetings with
private wealth managers. Attend roadshow meetings. Manage CRM.
Coordinate third-party research and work with Investment Director on topics to be covered and review reports.
Working pattern example: 2 days office/1 day home
