We are currently looking to recruit a lawyer from 5yrs+ PQE at Associate level to join the Glasgow Corporate Group.
We are looking for a strong corporate lawyer with experience in corporate finance, M&A (domestic and cross border) and private equity (beneficial but not essential).
Background to the Corporate Group
Pinsent Masons LLP has an international corporate group comprising some 120 lawyers, including more than 35 partners.
Our Corporate lawyers work with clients at the forefront of their strategic development advising on mergers, acquisitions, disposals, flotations, takeovers, buy-ins and buyouts, joint ventures and investments. Our detailed knowledge and close working relationships with other professionals enables us to achieve the right structure for deals and to bring together appropriate funders and entrepreneurial investors.
We make it our business to understand the markets our clients are in and their business aspirations and pressures. When a deal needs to be done we bring together the players to make it happen.

We have a strong private equity practice operating as part of a national team advising a range of private equity institutions and management teams.
We also have extensive experience of advising on public takeovers, both recommended and contested; flotations/initial public offerings; secondary issues including rights issues, placings and open offers; private placements; corporate governance; compliance with companies, securities and financial services legislation including the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority and the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers.
We have also undertaken an increasing amount of cross border work and recently have undertaken deals in Germany, Hungary, Holland, South Africa and East Africa, United States, Poland, France, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and Italy.
We have a strong sector focus in Advance manufacturing & Technology, Energy, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Retail and Consumer Goods, and Insurance and Financial Services.
The Candidate Required
The successful candidate will ideally have gained experience in a City firm or a large regional practice. Candidates must be technically excellent but equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development. They will be a team player with a strong client focussed approach. They will also have a strong academic background and excellent communication and organisational skills.
