We are currently looking to recruit a London based mid-to-senior level lawyer to join our Banking team. The role will enable the successful candidate to focus on leveraged finance, whilst also gaining exposure to corporate lending and counter-cyclical opportunities.
As a banking team, we advise a broad range of funders and private equity houses/borrowers on a wide variety of financing transactions. We act for private credit funds, all the UK clearing banks, a number of other European and investment banks and other alternative capital providers on all types of facilities from acquisition finance, leveraged finance and real estate finance to asset based lending, securitisation and debt capital markets. We also act for many borrowers, from listed companies to small enterprises, on their financings. Our practice is broad and very varied.
Our leveraged finance practice has recently been expanded at partner and junior fee-earner level and is expected to grow further in coming years, creating a unique opportunity to forge a career by taking advantage of exceptional bank and debt fund relationships alongside an active, and highly-regarded, private equity team.
We have access to a deep knowledge of current market practice and deliver a truly partner-led service. Our talented team of lawyers has an insight and appreciation of the needs and pressures of clients in the financial services sector. We are renowned for the quality and speed of delivery of our advice, our innovative thinking and our grasp of commercial issues.
Independent commentators on the legal profession rate our group's abilities across the range of specialist banking areas in which we advise and describe us as "impressive and prized by the high-profile banking clients" for whom we act.
The Candidate Required
The ideal candidate must have some leveraged finance and corporate lending experience, gained in either a leading national or City firm. Candidates must be technically excellent but, equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about business and practice development. They will be a team player with a strong client-focussed approach, commitment to the product area and excellent communication and organisational skills. A willingness to work with a number of different partners is a must. In return the candidate will receive unrivalled exposure to a range of exciting and challenging finance work.
- The very best mid-market national and cross-border leveraged finance and corporate lending work.
- Early responsibility and genuine opportunities to develop client relationships and enhance those the candidate may already have.
- Genuine long-term career prospects supported through our "best in class" training and our Academy personal development programmes.
