Job summary:

The Test Manager will work within the IT team to deliver a test strategy and test plans for a number of projects across the local portfolio. The role will be crucial to the transformation activities, collaborating with IT and business teams to ensure high quality standards across the IT platform delivery. The Test Manager will be accountable for leading the test work streams in collaboration with project stakeholders, in alignment with strategic methodology such as Agile and DevOps.

The role of IT Test Manager is part of the IT digital solution team, focusing on the planning, coordination and control of test activities across multiple projects and solutions. Ensuring that software-testing lifecycle (STLC), processes are documented and embedded into "business as usual" activities. Define and manage the utilization of Azure DevOps in alignment with the software development lifecycle. The role is based in the Redhill office, covering Redhill and Athlone sites and is accountable for supporting key business stakeholders, aligning security requirements and central governance to perform quality testing for critical business solutions.

The test manager will be the main contributor to test planning and execution for critical changes in IT solutions, working in collaboration with global teams delivering technical assets and validating with key business stakeholders.

Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail and accuracy, including reviewing and assuring the work of teams, peers and colleagues

Familiar with industry leading testing tools, DevOps or similar

Capacity to adapt quickly to changes and learn in all circumstances

Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with others and leverage their skills

Education, Professional Qualifications and Experience:

Has min. 5 years' experience with Software Test Management

Has experience with structured software testing of enterprise level software.

Has experience with defining approach for not only functional testing but also for performance testing, security testing, validation of data migration, reports, batch jobs and end-to-end testing.

 

Key responsibilities:

Implementation and maintenance of test strategy.

Manage testing activities including creation of test plan, processes and scripts. Manage testing work stream following software-testing lifecycle.

Support overall test activity planning including milestone management; responsible for the production and maintenance of the Testing work stream plan

Drive the utilisation of Azure DevOps for defect management and as a central repository.

Coordinate activities to provide relevant test data needed to perform end-to-end solution testing.

Coordinate sufficient access to environments needed to perform testing.

Provide timely test reports to the project manager to give confidence on quality of solution.

Liaising with global development team to support the execution of penetration tests and other specialised security testing.

Deliver effective Testing and Quality Assurance plan to ensure robust functional and non-functional testing prior to release.
