Role Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Network Specialist to join our Technical Platforms department within Technology Services. 

This role will report into the Design Team Architect & Manager. The Design Team is responsible for the design and implementation of the firm’s enterprise IT infrastructure globally, including networks, server, storage, virtualisation, cloud, messaging, unified communications, and security.  

The successful candidate will join us at an exciting time as the network transitions to SD WAN and SD Access and as we journey towards the cloud. The role will involve the design and implementation of our global network including proposing and making network improvements, network automation and network management.

Candidate Overview

We’d love to hear from you if you hold the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • CCNP Routing & Switching (Enterprise) certification advantageous
  • A demonstrable track record and technical skills encompassing:
    • Experience in designing and implementing Cisco SD WAN (Viptella)
    • Experience in designing and implementing Cisco SD Access
    • Experience with legacy Cisco networking – routing/switching/wireless
    • Experience in day-to-day network monitoring and management
    • Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OMP, OSPF)
  • Additional experience in the following areas considered beneficial:
    • Experience in working with cloud networking (Azure/AWS)
    • Experience of Cisco ISE
    • Programming for network automation
    • Knowledge of Cisco Firepower, Umbrella, Stealthwatch, VMware
