An opportunity has arisen for a part-time Finance Manager to join an SME architecture practice based in central London.   Client Details My client provides consultancy services in Architecture with circa £6m turnover and a headcount of just over 40.   They are based in central London.   Description Reporting to the Finance Director, this part-time Finance Manager will be responsible for the following: Main Duties and Responsibilities: Business support Support billing process ensuring accurate and timely invoicing of projectsManage credit control ensuring debt is chased and visibility of outstanding debts is provided to the businessWork with central finance team on staff expenses process in RapportSupport Rapport project management system to ensure financial information is accurate and maintained appropriately e.  g.   projects set up appropriately and cost rates are up to dateReview and approve fortnightly payment runProvide financial information for annual insurance renewals Financial Accounting Ultimately responsible for accuracy of monthly P&L and B/S and year-end cut off.  Support revenue recognition process ensuring timely billing of fees, accurate timesheets, and revenue accrued/deferred where applicable.  Ensure subcontractor accruals are maintained in line with work delivered.  Approve purchase invoices on Unit 4Reconcile customer payments with sales invoices in RapportManaging relationship with central finance team, ensuring transactional and accounting issues are resolved and service levels are addressed.  Manage audit queries and ultimately responsible for audit sign off.  Review of year-end tax computationCollaborate with central finance team on standardisation of processes Management Reporting Support central finance team to ensure timely completion of management accounts.  Responsible for review and ultimate sign off of management accounts and timely delivery to management team.  Deliver monthly reporting requirements for Group e.  g.   order backlog analysis Budgeting & Forecasting Work with Ops Director to produce annual budgets and quarterly forecastsResponsible for delivery of budgets and forecasts to Group and any supplementary analysisPreparation of monthly cashflow forecast and working capital assumptions Management Information Support management team in the production of key management information including team fees, profitability, and utilisation.  Support Operation Manager with the production of rolling forecastsSupport with ad-hoc analysis where required Profile The successful part-time Finance Manager will have the following: Qualifications: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Must-have technical skills: ability to close out month-ends, understand revenue recognition/deferred revenue, budgeting & forecasting, experience within the design and creative sector desirable Competencies: excellent communication skills Job Offer The part-time Finance Manager will receive the following: Salary: £60-65kpro-rata Benefits: pension, private medical insurance, 25 days holiday Flexible working arrangements: hybrid working available Career progression: could potentially go 5 days or evolve into a finance business partner position
