Entain, the global sports betting, gaming and interactive entertainment group and the McLaren F1 Team, are launching a joint Returnship programme for women to return to careers in the worlds's most exciting industries.
Whatever your path, the Entain x McLaren F1 Team Returnship aims to support women back into technology, data and engineering roles after a period of unemployment, underemployment or reskilling.
We recognise that your expertise and experience is unique to you, so we aren’t offering a one-size-fits-all approach. We’ll be guided by your career to date when looking for the perfect placement opportunity – and how you will be rewarded will reflect the same.

Designed to suit different women at different stages of their career, our returnship is practical, flexible and rewarding.
Getting you back in the game
On our programme you’ll be supported by a 1-to-1 transitional coach specialising in return to work, as well as a workplace buddy and mentor to help you navigate the business.
Applying and improving your skills
Your placement manager will set you clear, evolving objectives and provide you with regular support and feedback. You’ll also complete a group project to address a live business challenge.
Staggered hours, part time – what it looks like may vary, but hybrid working comes as standard.
Networking with top execs
You’ll get to know our most senior executives through 1-to-1 coffee chats that will gve you unrivalled insights into our businesses and invaluable professional connections.
Finding a permanent placement
At the end of the returnship we’ll discuss your performance and progress. We want to discover future talent for our business, so where possible we’ll discuss permanent role opportunities – who knows, you may even end up with competing job offers.

Who should apply?
- You currently have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the internship, or that you can secure the right to work in the UK in readiness to commence the internship in May 2023
- At least 3 months unemployed, underemployed or reskilling
- At least 2 years prior professional experience
- STEM focussed qualifications & experience or a demonstrable passion for tech, data or engineering

Both Entain and McLaren Racing operate a flexible working policy. We’ll work with you to make sure work, works for you! What this looks like will vary person to person, but may include part time or staggered hours. Hybrid working comes as standard. For us, this means 2 (Entain) or 3 (McLaren Racing) days a week in the office for full time workers.
Entain offers best in industry maternity leave and Keeping-in-Touch (KIT) days during this time. We also provide unpaid time away from work – up to 18 weeks off work until your child’s 18th birthday – to support employees with emergency care, helping them settle into school or just spending more quality time with them as a parent.
