We believe Burnley and Pendle is a special place – a home to extraordinary people like you. &nbsp; Come and be part of our story!    The role  We are now looking to recruit to the role of Gym Instructor. &nbsp; The successful applicant will  assist in the day-to-day running of the gym ensuring that our guests and members needs are met and they are provided with exceptional customer service at all times. &nbsp;    Role expectations  Reporting to the General Manager, the Gym Instructor will be expected to:    Provide a welcoming environment to all visitors. &nbsp;   Deliver gym induction sessions and ensure that all customers know how to safely and effectively use equipment. &nbsp;   Assist in safeguarding the security of equipment, users and the building, by carrying out regular checks as directed by the General Manager. &nbsp;   Regularly check equipment to ensure it is in safe/effective working order, and report maintenance issues in a timely manner. &nbsp;   Provide a first aid service as and when required. &nbsp;   Effectively demonstrate, observe and evaluate members to ensure they have a safe operational knowledge of the fitness suite and its equipment. &nbsp;   Ensure continuous development and improvement of professional knowledge. &nbsp;   To be responsible for advice and support to customers, appropriate to your skills and qualifications, including the directing of activities for users to prevent injury, misuse or damage to facilities. &nbsp;    Maintain and process information using both computerised and manual records. &nbsp;    Opening and closing up of the gym facilities. &nbsp;    Deal with enquiries face to face and by telephone concerning all activities of the gym. &nbsp;   Assembling, dismantling and moving of equipment. &nbsp;   Adhere to and enforce Health and Safety standards, centre rules, regulations and policies. &nbsp;   Work alongside other team members to support in other areas of The Leisure Box. &nbsp;  Undertake any other duties appropriate to this role. &nbsp;  To be able to work flexible hours where the role of the job requires. &nbsp;  To work towards agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)<br>. &nbsp;  Comply with all Charity policies. &nbsp;  Promote the Burnley Football Club in the Community and Burnley Football Club brand and ethos in a professional, strong and positive manner. &nbsp;  To understand and implement the Charity’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines in your role. &nbsp; To use this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to a safe environment. &nbsp;  Work alongside other team members to support in other areas of the organisation as and when required to promote best practice. &nbsp;  Hold a commitment to equality and diversity in the workplace and a willingness to undertake all relevant equality and diversity training. &nbsp;    An ideal candidate will have;   Essential:   Minimum level 2 Gym instructor qualification. &nbsp;    Experience of delivering gym induction sessions, ensure that all customers know how to safely and effectively use equipment. &nbsp;    Ability to assemble, dismantle and move gym equipment. &nbsp;   Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. &nbsp;   Good understanding of Health and Safety. &nbsp;    Desirable:  First aid certificate. &nbsp;  Previous experience of working in a leisure centre. &nbsp;      Applicants will need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to work evenings, weekends and match days as required. &nbsp;   Please apply by downloading and completing the job application form which can be found on the BFC in the Community website (alternative format available upon request)<br>. &nbsp;
