Company Profile:
Our client is looking for someone to take on this role which doesn’t sit neatly into a one size fits all!
For the right person you will receive this news like a breath of fresh air and be instantly energised to read on! Have we grabbed your attention so far? We hope so…
Our client is a very busy Media Executive who needs someone to be his Private PA, with some admin and operations management included! He is involved in an indie TV production company and a theatre & musicals company and his office operates primarily from a century old Dutch barge on the Thames in Hammersmith.
Our client is fizzing with ideas, connections and is known for making things happen. His work also, and naturally so, spans into his personal life. So, behind the scenes he needs this person to be calm and resourceful and able to ensure that the admin, operations, and aspects of client management is handled smoothly and efficiently, so that he too is able to manage a better work life balance.
You will be working directly with our client and where you work will be a blend between his office in Hammersmith and also his home in Barnes, as well as at the TV studio in Mortlake with occasional trips to his seaside home in West Wittering, West Sussex. You will also be able to do a fair proportion of your work remotely. Therefore, this role is ideally suited to someone who lives within an easy commute of Barnes/Hammersmith/SW London. Every week will be different, so it’s important that the person is flexible and thrives off the variety and spice of a fast-paced environment and working with an interesting array of people.
This is a 3 day per week role - approx 25 hours - spread across the week
Here's an overview of the main responsibilities:
PA and Administration:
- Diary and schedule management - a blend of personal and business
- Prioritisation of emails and comms management
- Concierge support - tickets, reservations, travel arrangements
Operations:
- Front-of-house hosting for private events - on the barge and in West Sussex beach house
- Boat management - including managing the tradesmen that maintain the barge office and keeping the kitchen stocked with supplies
- Property management - coordinate and oversee any property maintenance needed
What sort of person would be ideal for this role?
This role is perfect for someone who is highly organised, self-motivated and can think outside of the box to find solutions to opportunities. You must be able to work autonomously. You need to also be a people’s person and enjoy hosting, with a natural flare for taking care of people. And hopefully it goes without saying, discretion is key.
If you're excited by what you've read, please apply by sending your CV. Interviews will be rolling, which could mean the application closing date may be brought forward.
About our culture:
Our client wants to create a productive, fun, and nurturing work environment and wants to build a safe and long term home for all, a place to belong and where everyone feels part of something special. This PA role will play a huge part in establishing and maintaining this balance, as well as directly benefit from the culture created.
Their ‘family’ is tight-knit and values-driven. They believe culture is king. Their work, by nature of the industry, is incredibly fast-paced, but in the creative madness of it all, they prioritise people and place equality, respect and kindness at the fore. They lean on each other’s strengths and invest in each other’s growth and development. They are socially aware and purpose driven in everything they do.

How flexible working works with us:
The Exec’s team will often split their time between the studios on the pier in Hammersmith and WFH (or town). While our client would ideally like to recruit someone from the local area who really knows it well and can benefit from the proximity, they advocate establishing a cadence, balance, and presence that works for you (and co create this with the media exec you will be PA-info for). On average, half of the work can be done remotely. However, each week’s in-person vs virtual time split will differ (sometimes greatly if for example, they are building up to an event which demands a lot of coordination) BUT it’s about clear communication and working around each other!
Our client understands life commitments. While the hours per week for this role cumulate to 25 hours and aren’t fixed (which makes it difficult to hold other fixed commitments during working hours aka another part time job), they will accommodate things like PT in the morning and picking the kids up at a certain time. They don’t want you to bring work home.
