This well thought of, and long-established charity is looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join on a permanent basis working a 30-hour week, Monday to Friday. &nbsp;Make sure to read the full description below, and please apply immediately if you are confident you meet all the requirements. &nbsp;Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be assisting with managing, developing, and reporting within the finance function to include: <br>* Producing management accounts and statutory accounts <br>* Running a monthly payroll <br>* Assisting in the development of full cost recovery in project costing <br>* Assisting in the oversight of routine organisational financial processes and procedures (accounts, sales ledger, purchase ledger, payroll, expenses, pension scheme, health plan, Gift Aid, Friends Scheme, fixed assets, cash/bank transactions, reconciliations, year-end activities, record keeping)<br>. &nbsp; <br>* Assist in the preparation of financial information, including accounts, budgets, and forecasts to inform the management of new, existing, and potential future business. &nbsp; <br>* Analysis, evaluation, monitoring, and interpreting of financial information against set targets <br>* Aid in the development of financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk. &nbsp; <br>* Contributing to business development decisions including costing financial models. &nbsp; <br>* Supporting in the implementation of the planned new Finance Package <br>* Deputising for the Head of Finance when necessary. &nbsp;This opportunity offers the chance to work for a highly reputable charity alongside a qualified Accountant and expand your experience and increase responsibility. &nbsp; Perhaps you are feeling like you are not progressing in your current role? If so, then please contact us - we would love to talk to you. &nbsp;The ideal candidate <br>* Part qualified AAT, CIMA, or ACCA (or equivalent)<br> <br>* Experience of VAT, particularly in the charitable or voluntary sector <br>* Establishing and maintaining constructive working relationships with a wide range of people <br>* High level of computer literacy <br>* Good verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills <br>* Good decision-making ability <br>* A practical aptitude and good problem-solving skills <br>* Ability to work independently and as part of a team <br>* Ability to prioritise and manage workload to meet deadlinesApplicants must hold a full UK driving licence and be studying an accountancy qualification. &nbsp; The charity offers hybrid working between home and office, and a salary of c. &nbsp; £25,000 - £28,000 (pro-rata)<br> depending on experience plus 23 days holiday (pro-rata)<br>, health plan, NEST pension, and continuous learning and development as appropriate
