Urgently Required - Part-Time Accountant - Port Talbot Salary up to £35,000 Pro Rata An opportunity has arisen for a well-established, family run business based in the Port Talbot area. &nbsp; My client is looking to recruit an experienced Accountant to come in and support the Financial Director with the day to day accounts and management of a small team. &nbsp; My client is happy to consider applications on a temporary to permanent capacity or permanent basis. &nbsp; As the number 2 on site, you will be required to oversee the day to day running of the accounts department. &nbsp; Reporting into the Financial Director/Owner of the business, you will manage a small team (2 in the transactional team)<br> and deal with a variety of tasks. &nbsp; The suitable candidate will ideally be part-qualified with a background of working within an SME business dealing with all aspects of accounts and associated tasks. &nbsp; My client will also welcome applications from candidates who are Qualified by Experience, yet possess a strong technical accounting background, having worked within both financial and management accounts. &nbsp; The role requires a hands-on Accountant who is not afraid of dealing with variety of tasks ranging from accounts, involvement with external HR with regards to payroll queries and liaising with operational teams to fully understand all aspects of the business. &nbsp; You will possess a 'can do’ attitude and enjoy liaising with suppliers/clients, both internally and externally in order to create strong working relationships. &nbsp; Key responsibilities will include: 1)<br> Managing cash flow tightly and dealing with invoice discounting 2)<br> Deal with the preparation of the monthly management accounts pack and deal with any queries that may arise 3)<br> Management of all aspects of VAT 4)<br> Balance sheet reconciliations 5)<br> Fixed Assets 6)<br> Assisting with closing accounts at year end and prepare final set for audit stage 7)<br> Deal with the administration and over-see a payroll, pensions, expenses and insurances for the organisation 8)<br> Assist with the production of finance information for budgets and forecasts 9)<br> Overseeing all the ledgers, bank system payments and receipt’s 10)<br> Day to day supervision of the accounts team 11)<br> Assisting with purchase/sales ledger invoicing and credit control as and when required You will possess strong Excel skills, to intermediate level and have previous exposure of working on a variety of accounting software packages would be highly advantageous. &nbsp; The role would suit a candidate who is not afraid of hard work, prepared to challenge and who is prepared to roll up their sleeves and deal with anything that is thrown at them. &nbsp; My client offers a friendly working environment and long-term there is the opportunity to step up if you desire to do so. &nbsp; The role is office based, part-time, 3-4 days a week ideally. &nbsp; If you are interested and keen to know more, please contact the office for a confidential discussion. &nbsp;
