Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working alongside a thriving engineering business in the Rotherham area as they look to appoint an experienced Company Accountant into their finance function on a permanent, part time (32 hours)<br> basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking, self-motivated and trustworthy Bookkeeper as this will be a very varied position; performing a variety of financial, administrative and bookkeeping activities. They are looking at someone who can hit the ground running. Duties & Responsibilities of the Company Accountant will include: <br>* Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Nominal Ledger - Preparation, inputting and processing all journals<br>* Calculation of Vat Returns and Vat Analysis/EC Sales<br>* All Banking responsibilities (signatory)<br> and bank reconciliation<br>* Credit Control<br>* Bank reconciliations/credit card reconciliations/petty cash monitoring <br>* Checking nominals/processing relevant journals<br>* Prepayments/accruals/WIP<br>* Gross margin reporting<br>* Cashflow reconciliation/monitoring and forecasting<br>* Monthly and Quarterly Management Accounting<br>* Production of Financial Reports i. e. : Profit and Loss/Trial Balance/Balance Sheets<br>* Project Costing and Budgets, reporting<br>* Intercompany Transactions<br>* Meetings with Project Mangers to review financials of projects/review variances<br>* Month end supplier payment run<br>* Ad-hoc payments as required<br>* Overseeing and paying expenses<br>* Liaising with Managing Director/Directors and shareholders<br>* Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported<br>* Issuing sales invoices and applications for payment<br>* Inputting credit card receipts in the financial system<br>* Setting up new customers & projects on Sage<br>* New supplier bank details verification via phone call <br>* Monitoring and control of supplier invoice authorization <br>* Dealing with disputed invoices<br>* Processing statements<br>* Sending remittances<br>* Inputting cost in projects in Sage (fuel, delivery charges, labour)<br><br>* Arranging time sheet authorization and recording manhour allocation The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences: <br>* AAT / ACCA / CIMA Part-Qualified <br>* Strong knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts and Microsoft Office<br>* Organized, disciplined and methodical<br>* Ability to multitask & prioritise with excellent time management skillsIf you match the specified criteria and are interested in discussing the position in more detail, please don't hesitate to contact Olivia Hunt today.
