We are seeking to recruit an experienced individual to provide end-to-end financial control, reporting and forecasting for each of these three charities as well as the in-house pension fund.
The successful candidate will be an experienced accountant with a hands-on approach in all accounting and administration matters – delivery of the final product with the quality to put before the Trustees is key.
Candidates should be confident and articulate, perfectly comfortable with reporting to demanding boards of directors and/or Trustees.
Responsibilities will include:
Maintaining accurate accounting records for each entity, including the recording of purchase ledger and bank transactions
Liaison with external investment managers, actuaries and advisors on performance and valuation information, implementation of ESG investment strategies and administration of investments, sales and regulatory compliance
Preparation of management reports as required by the Trustees, including interim accounts, forecasts and business plans
Preparation of finance-related papers for Trustee meetings and attendance at same
Preparation of annual reports for each entity, management of annual external audits and submission of annual returns to the Charities Commission.
The role also offers the opportunity to become involved in a range of projects to improve the efficiency of our management information systems.
